I would like to know if there are some news regarding this feature or if you need something from us like a better explanation or smt like this
I'm glad that got you up and running. Are drivers are designed to be over installed, but sometimes that does not work as we have intended it to work.
Please let me know if I can help with anything else.
My feeling is that it is. The challenge is that our driver team is small, and they have a lot on their plates.
They are also looking at adding Double-click speed and other pen/click type features. I appreciate everyone hanging in there while we figure this out.
For anyone who is still waiting for this feature to be implement and it's not yet implement, I found an alternative solution here from Opentablet driver on github, here are the links if it's allowed

my post wasn't approved I guess
Hi, we are well into 2025 and there are no news about this feature. Can we have an update? With the release of the latest wacom tablets I'm very inclined to go back again to wacom
Thanks for keeping on this. I have reached out to the driver team and ask them for an update. I also past on you commit, hoping they read it with some urgency.
I'll keep you posted.
Hi, can we have an update about this topic? seems that there's nothing going on...
Thanks for the post and letting me know. I have sent your comments on to the driver team.
Thanks for this update. it works well as expected, but there is a few issues i have when using right-click.
So I used an OpenTablet driver comparison here are the links
https://github.com/OpenTabletDriver/OpenTabletDriver
With this plugin, which is more refined
https://github.com/hadiskeini/ClickAndTapPlugin
Comparing the performance to the current xencelabs driver, I notice that after right-clicking in the outliner in blender it times out the option menu doesn't stay still. I tried in other applications it gives the same issue. I hope this can be addressed soon.
But so far, most of the features are working as expected. Thanks.
Also I am having the same issue with the middle click assign button, it feels like it has a click at the end after the operation. i would be glad if the devs could also look into that
There has been some progress, but it still doesn’t work properly. When using Hover-Click, the right mouse button functions as it should—it clicks when pressed and releases when released. However, with Click-then-Tap, the right mouse button clicks upon touch but releases immediately. It should only release when I lift the pen tip off the tablet. This makes it impossible to use in its current state.
I'm having the driver team look into this. I'll keep you posted.
Thanks for posting that. I would like to get a couple of screenshots of what you are seeing. The before and after shots - thanks

Mike, are you referring to my comment about the setting resetting. There's not much to see, just the check box for click-then-tap changing to hover-click.
BUT I now can see it's not just when I wake up the computer or restart, I can make this happen by just turning the tablet off. I can set click-then-tap, and it will work fine until I turn off the tablet. When I turn the tablet back on, and it connects, the settings have reverted to default. This happens in wireless and wired modes.
This also seems to be specific to the profiles created for applications such as Bridge and Photoshop. The global setting seems to retain the click-then-tap setting.

I always preferred the way Wacom had an option "hold and tap" to produce a right click. This would be helpful for those of us that use mouse gestures as the current "click" and drag the stylus button kind of freaks the mouse gesture reader out.
