There are three video connection options with the Pen Displays 24. The cables for the three connection types are included with the Pen Display 24 kit.

Method 1 below uses the fewest cables to connect using the USC-C Display Alt cable to a computer that supports a USB-C Display Alt connection.  Not all computers support this type of video connection.

When you plug in the USB-C Display Alt cable and turn on the Pen Display 24, you will see a message on your computer that Alt Display is activated, and then the Pen Display 24 will show a desktop image.

All three video connections require the use of the AC power connection.

** If you are using the HDMI or DisplayPort cable connection, you MUST use the USB-C or USB-C or USB-C to USB-A cable. This will allow for the Pens and the Control Buttons to work.

This shows how to set the Pen Display 24 using the USB-C Display Alt video connection.

Method 2:

If your computer does not support USB-C Display Alt, you can use the supplied HDMI cable and make the connection using the HDMI cable.

** You will also need to use the USB-C or the USB-C to USB-A cable if you use the HDMI video connection method.

The Pen information, USB ports, and Display Control Buttons require a USB connection with the HDMI cable.

Method 3:

If your computer has a DisplayPort video connection, you can use the DisplayPort cable to make the video connection.

** You will also need to use the USB-C or the USB-C to USB-A cable if you use the DisplayPort video connection method.

The Pen information, USB ports, and Display Control Buttons require a USB connection with the DisplayPort cable.
