Quick-Keys with german keyboard layout on MacOS

Hey Guys,

the Quick-Keys cannot be configured properly on my Mac with a german keyboard layout. I tried to combine it with Blender which lives from its keyboard shortcuts to handle a model efficiently. My test example is the keystroke Option-z to toggle the xray-mode of an object.

No matter what or how I try to configure the keys of the Quick-Key it always sends the wrong keystrokes to the application. Obviously the driver internally only knows a standard US-keyboard no matter what layout you select in the setup after the installation. Playing around with keyboard settings on the OS-level as some Xencelabs solutions suggest is quite out of scope. This would make it even harder to work with an application like Blender.

I don't know if this is an overall issue across all platforms. I'm only working on a Mac so I don't care if this works on Windows or not. Mac is a supported platform but this functionality is definitely not properly implemented and the Quick-Keys tool is unusable and simply for the trash.

I already have a support case running for this topic but I wanted to ask the community if someone else may have already come up with a solution.

Thanks for posting that. I'll need to follow-up with our driver team to have them look into this.

I would like to verify if you are using German as the language with Windows?

Strg+# is a keyboard shortcut in Photoshop.
Strg+Shift+3 is the American keyboard shortcut (keyboard layout) for Strg+# (note: Shirt on a German keyboard = Umschalt).
Strg+Shift+3 does not work with the Quick Keys that display Strg+#.
In the Quick Keys, Strg+Shift+3 appears, which is not Strg+#, but only Strg+Shift+3.
It also does not work with the German keyboard (keyboard layout) Strg+] or Strg+[ in the Quick Keys  {On the keyboard, press Ctrl+AltGr+] or Ctrl+AltGr+[ --- press}.
In the Quick Keys, Strg+Alt+[ or Strg+Alt+[ appears, which is not Strg+] or Strg+[, but only Strg+Alt+] or Strg+Alt+[.

Thanks for posting this request. What application are you wanting to use the Ctrl+# or is it Ctrl+Shift+3, which would give you the Ctrl+#

And what will the desired effect be?

Hi,
I have the same problem with my Quick Keys on Windows.
No matter what I've tried, it just doesn't work.
I want the Strg+# (Ctrl+#) command.
Note:
In the pre-built menus (Photoshop), there's a key labeled "Strg" with the command "Strg."
When I try to change this, the display (Software/Driver) is empty.
When I press the "Strg" key, "Ctrl" appears in the display (Software/Driver).
Did I read that correctly? Have you already submitted a support ticket about this?
Have you received a response from support yet?
I'm also quite disappointed that Quick Keys has this extremely serious problem.

This is an interesting question. I'll need to conduct some research on this and get back to you.
